Features
Resource management
The subsystem realizes the entity locating, information collection, simultaneous operation, maintenance, and management of resource database, and provides a singular data interface for higher-level application. At the same time, the system is in charge of establishing logic relationship between logic data. The major functions are automatic location of resources, entity resource management, logic resource management, configuration management, account management, spares management, parameter management, and resource presentation management.
Performance management
The subsystem is in charge of monitoring, control, and statistics collection and analysis of network performance, including performance testing for network devices, mainframe, chain circuit, end-to-end performance testing, collection, statistics collection and saving of various types of performance information, maintenance of performance information database, as well as management of various kinds of performance indicators, providing network administrators with such information as network running status, message data collection, and processor loading capacity, by which to identify specific problems and conduct quality analysis.
Malfunction management
Collect and acquire alarming/event information generated by various network objects like equipments, chain circuit and applicants in various ways, save the information up in a uniform format, and, in combination with topology presentation and even list, achieve real-time monitoring, precise location and analysis of alarming/event. The failure management subsystem analyzes relevancy between alarm and event in light of resource management system’s network object relationship model and their influence on service and accounts, and conducts information and statistics collection for alarming/event data.
SLA management
The subsystem realizes flexible SLA customization and management. Users can set a threshold for network performance indicator and an alarm grade corresponding to the threshold as needed. When the performance reaches or exceeds the threshold, the performance management subsystem will send an alarm message of corresponding grade to the failure management subsystem.
VIP service analysis
The subsystem takes as objects for management the network elements and services related to group accounts, integrates group account management, network performance management and network application management in an organic manner, collects network service data through devices, chain circuit, and applications related to real-time monitoring, and attains the goal of monitoring group accounts’ network service operation in an all-around and multi-angle way, so as to achieve failure and performance management of group accounts’ network services, generate diachronic data to monitor and obey service level agreement.
Enhanced simulation terminal
The subsystem provides operation maintenance staff with an approach to manage and operate network devices in a convenient and highly effective way. Compared with simulation terminals in the real sense, the enhanced simulation terminal subsystem mainly stands out in its function to sending concurrently multiple batch commands to multiple devices, and being a more convenient and flexible tool for users to configure distribution and allocation of work.
Report generation
The subsystem provides a convenient report tool, including customization of report module, management of report module, and automatic generation of report.
ATM performance analysis
The subsystem provides ATM network performance analysis. ATM performance management objects include ATM devices, ATM physical chain circuit, IP port, VC port, physical port and PVC chain circuit.
VoIP service analysis
The subsystem offers statistics collection and analysis of IP phone service, enabling managers to get timely information on IP phone network operation status and detailed statistics of services.
Flow statistics & analysis
The subsystem adopts a flow measurement scheme based on statistics collection methods as NetFlow, and offers statistics collection and analysis of such flow data as IP address, AS and application protocol.
End-to-end performance analysis
The subsystem offers such analytical functions as time lag, oscillation and ratio of packages lost.
