Project background:

CDMA 1X packet network of China Unicom in Jiangxi province and Shenzhen city was formally opened at the beginning of 2003.Jiangxi province’s CDMA 1X packet network mainly adopts Cisco and Huawei network equipments, while Shenzhen city’s CDMA 1X packet network mainly adopts Cisco network equipments.For statistics of network elements in CDMA 1X usually the methodology used is that manually logs on to network element equipment, executes relevant command and conducts manual statistics collecting. With China Unicom expanding domestic digital business, existing statistics methods cannot meet current demands.China Unicom is in urgent need of new method for collecting statistics of packet networks.

Project characteristics:

China Unicom’s Jiangxi and Shenzhen CDMA 1X packet network smart statistics statement system includes statistics collecting, database and statement generation systems.The statistics collecting system is developed by Wafer system, runs on SUN Solaris platform by Shenzhen corporation and on Alpha server TRU64 platform by Jiangxi corporation.This module is in charge of information collection on CDMA 1X packet network elements through SNMP protocol. The database system adopts industry-leading Oracle 9.2.0 and is running on Alpha server TRU64 platform, ensuring high reliability of the system. The database system is in charge of classifying, saving and disposing of the statistics collected by the statistics collecting system.The statement client-end system is developed by Wafer system and this part is in charge of generating statement system required by users.As client end of Oracle server, the statement generation system requests relevant data from database server and generates statement at the client.
