Wafer undertakes the construction of advanced optical transmission networks, including optical multiplexing and MSTP multi-service transport platform.
Most of SDH metropolitan area networks are based on voice-oriented TDM technology. Since the network relies on the traditional add-drop multiplexer (ADM) and digital cross connection (DXC) equipment which are used to optimize voice signal, the network has been unable to fully meet today's growing demand for data transmission. These traditional equipment lack scalability, and can not well transmit IP data stream.
Cisco's COMET (Complete Optical Multi-service Edge and Transport) product series features highest service response speed, intensity, type and capacity. The latest generation of Multi-Service Transport Platform (MSTP) solution is a perfect combination and complementation between optical network layer and IP layer, and lays the foundation for speeding up the construction of intelligent optical network, which is in line with the current domestic market and customer needs, providing customers with an unprecedented high level of flexibility and service capabilities, and significantly saving the customer's investment.
Wafer actively participates in the construction of Cisco’s new optical network, and helps telecom carriers and large-scale industry customers to build a system architecture offering transparent service and supporting multi-service transport over SDH. Such system architecture can facilitate telecom carriers and enterprises to seamlessly offer their customers IP services with high return; in addition, such system architecture enables telecom carriers and enterprises to optimize their infrastructure, in order to create end-to-end transparent solution for customers, and to expand data services to client end which requires high service density and low cost.
